applications:

Diisononyl Phthalate is most commonly used to soften polyvinyl chloride (PVC), also known as vinyl, in the automobile, flooring and construction industries. It is a major component in determining the physical properties of vinyl products such as their durability, resistance to heat and cold and their flexibility. Common products using DINP are electric cables and synthetic leather, hoses for household appliances and wiring. Its extreme flexibility and low volatility make DINP a preferred choice in a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications.

While Diisononyl Phthalate is primary used as a plasticizer it also finds use in paints, sealants and lubricants.
