Fernol 91-6 is a high active nonionic surfactant that offers emulsification, detergency, mild foaming and excellent wetting. This surfactant is found in a wide range of cleaning products such as dishwashing solution, laundry detergent, carpet cleaners and industrial cleaning products. Fernol 91-6 is a good option for hard surface cleaning formulations. It can be used as a single surfactant system given it’s mid-range HLB. It has a shorter surfactant length than other alcohol ethoxylates giving it great detergency for hard surface cleaner and degreasers.

It is readily biodegradable and handles stains, grime and soils very well. Fernol 91-6 meets all health and safety requirements set forth by the EPA and is also listed on CleanGredients.org.

Fernol 91-6 is sometimes called Tomadol 91-6, Neodol 91-6 and Rhodasurf 91-6.

The liquid ingredient contains both alkoxylates and alcohol ethoxylates. Aside from being used for household and industrial cleaning products, the chemical may also be used in the oil industry. It offers emulsification and is also stable in both aqueous and alkaline solutions.
