Polyanionic Cellulose (PAC) is a high purity additive used in water and well drilling. It can be applied in fresh water drilling, seawater drilling, and brine water based mud systems. It is easily soluble in water, having excellent properties of salt resistance, Calcium and Magnesium resistance, and reduced filtration loss.

applications:

Polyanionic Cellulose is a premium product having a higher degree of carboxymethyl substitution and contains less residual NaCl than technical grade carboxymethylcellulose alone. Along with reducing filtration loss, PAC can be used as a thickening agent, rheology controller, bond, stabilizer, colloid protector, and suspending agent.
