Dimethylamine (DMA) is a colorless, flammable gas with an ammonia-like odor. It is derived by a catalyst reaction between methanol and ammonia at high temperatures.
Dimethylamine is commonly encountered commercially as a solution in water at concentrations up to around 40%.
