Vitamin E Acetate

Vitamin E acetate, also called tocopheryl or tocopherol acetate, is a common vitamin supplement. This compound is an oily, colorless liquid that is immiscible with water. It is an ester of acetic acid and vitamin E (tocopherol), which occurs naturally in many food products such as vegetable oils, seeds, nuts, and green vegetables. Synthetic esterification decreases acidity and increases shelf life.
